Windows Management Instrumentation - Active Directory Management

Built-in WMI Control

Dealing with Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) is challenging even for experienced administrator. The purpose of WMI is to define a non-proprietary set of environment-independent specifications that allows sharing management information between management applications.

CADMR helps administrator in impeccably and efficiently use WMI functionalities. The software uses WQL (SQL like language for WMI) to extract information from WMI repository. CADMR provides graphical user interface for the ease of executing WMI queries and methods instead of typical command line interface.

CADMR dynamically enumerates classes & their descriptions from the NameSpaces, dynamically enumerates properties, their Qualifiers & their descriptions from those classes. All these are done without any dependencies of local and remote system. With the help of these dynamically enumerated classes, their properties and WQL, you can create very complex and powerful queries to fetch information from network resources.

By using CADMR, the administrator can perform following WMI related operations:

  • Create new WMI query
  • Modify WMI query
  • Rename WMI query
  • Delete WMI query
  • View properties of WMI objects
  • Execute WMI query
  • Execute EMI method

The software automatically lists all namespaces, WMI classes, providers, and system classes that can be simply selected to create or modify WMI query. With CADMR, you do not need to manually type long and complex WMI query to fetch required information from WMI repository. Thus, performing WMI related operations by using CADMR is not only fast but also less error prone.
